Gear Sales

Damn. I wasn't even in the market and I'm tempted. They sent some out for us to test earlier this year, maybe @steve or @Parma can chime in on how they were. I think the official review is still in the works.
 
That's a fantastic deal. Personally, I think they're overpriced at full retail, but at those prices, that's insane. They're less aerodynamic (hydrodynamic?) than the Alpackas I've paddled, but they're really well built, and they have some cool features. You're not going to find a better packraft even close to that price. Plus the owners are really cool, and I'm all about supporting the little guys. If I were in the market, I'd grab one in a heartbeat.

The renegade with T-zip (sold out) would be my choice.
 
We played around with them at 8:33 in this video.. Tess is in the Nirvana, and I'm in the Renegade. The Nirvana is pointier, the Renegade appears symmetrical, and is wider. Both were very well-made.

 
I wanted the Renegade, but now it's sold out, too. Now I can't decide...while I'm not currently skilled enough to do class III rivers, someday I hope to be there. So I'm afraid the Nirvana wouldn't be a good option. @steve , do you have any thoughts on that?
 
Anyone know if the spraydeck is removable on the Nirvana? It doesn't appear to be but wanted to make sure. Seems to me like a spraydeck would be cumbersome on something like the dirty devil or escalante.
 
And I haven't pulled the trigger because I can't decide if the Nirvana is the one I want...although it's probably exactly the one I need.

I'm not sure if it's exactly what I want either, but I figured for the price it's not a big deal to grow out of it.
 
I took the plunge and just bought one Nirvana with the spray deck and one without. That's a deal that just couldn't be beat.
